We want you to have a beautiful smile and healthy teeth! We have put some information together to make sure you are taking the best preventive care for your teeth.
Preventative care: Every 6 months
You need to take special care of your teeth by having a complete examination and cleaning twice a year. It is suggested that X-rays be taken once a year to diagnose any underlying conditions. If your teeth are predisposed to problems,it is very important that you make an appointment for preventative care regularly.
Our tip: Make your teeth a priority and maintain your regular dental visits to keep a healthy smile!
Start 'em early!
Proper oral hygiene habits are learned early. Parents should care for and maintain their child's teeth as an infant. As children age, supervised brushing instructions can create beneficial habits that last a lifetime. Remember, children under 6 should be supervised at all times as swallowing toothpaste can be harmful.
Dr. Bridget Stevens recommends the first dental visit 6 months after the first baby tooth erupts. Establishing regular visits at a young age has proven to be beneficial in many ways. These include, educating parents to care for the child's teeth during different stages of developement, creating a good rapport with our dental team to prevent future dental fears for the child and it improves the health and stability for future eruption of adult teeth.
